It could be called a creative spell, probably, or perhaps a product of boredom. No, actually poetry and music come from true emotion, a growth spurt of imagination. I like telling stories with songs. The pictures that the words make, the consonance and the rhyme. It surprises me that I don't have to cross out much. That the lyrics come so fast. New chords and old familiars fill out a harmony, which births a melody. Then I wait for words to come, and try to make them match in the end. Usually there is one line or phrase that sounds out of place, not quite what is needed. And sometimes it gets changed, sometimes not. More often, a different word suggests itself once I've already decided on a particular set. But I can't stop singing it the right way, so the other must be changed.

Any skill has stages. In music, these stages are quite pronounced. I have my own interpretation. The wretched squeak and stumble time at the very beginning. The more pleasant seeking of songs to play, getting quicker and more familiar with the rules. Then the boring work part, the grind. Now, I am in a place where I like to play. Where my fingers itch for an instrument when others are performing. It's no longer forced, but almost enjoyable. I still flush in a group, get nervous and such, especially with just one or two listening. But I like that people like my songs.

And a well written lyric is so satisfying.Olhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2753038853135464703.post-39025248554979176892009-05-09T13:27:00.000-07:002009-05-20T23:37:14.867-07:00Frenzy Kitchen

Play with Goofy in this addicting game that test your reflexive and memory. The older one is a Jack Russell Terrier, Samson. He's a sweet dog once he knows you, but he bites strangers. My other dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Margaret. She's a very good dog, amiable and lovely.

So today, Sam comes in from the yard, covered in dirty, mucky junk. I guess he must have been smelling too humanish. They like to be dirty, I don't understand it. This was too far gone for anything but a proper bath. So I hoisted him into the tub (yes, he's spoiled) and doused him with water. It takes a while to get him wet, as the water just rolls off his back, like a duck. He doesn't move much while you're bathing him, except to inch farther and farther to the other side of the tub. Thankfully, most of the gross, icky stuff washed off as I was getting him wet. Sam looks like a thin, starving rodent when soaked. His fur must account for half of his small appearance. He doesn't mind getting bathed, really. It gives him a chance to act like a crazy dog and rub the carpet to get dry. Now I'll have to watch him when he goes out, to make sure he doesn't try to re-odorize himself.

Maggie is more my dog now. She sleeps in my big chair, and puts her nose on my knee for affection when I'm reading in my room. Both of our dogs were orphans, Sam at the pound, Maggie as a stray. I love dogs, all animals actually. I wouldn't want to be without one.

Maggie and Sammy on Dogster.Olhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2753038853135464703.post-16270594114429151592009-03-13T16:09:00.000-07:002009-05-21T00:59:58.185-07:00sitting in the silent twilight...stila newsletter came in the mailbox justnow. and i really really really want those smudge pots. aiyer, i waaannnttt. i have the lip glaze though. it made my lips feels a little bit uncomfortable, but i managed. but i do want those wicked smudge pots. hmm.

notice i changed the layout? a little bit more neat right? easy to read. no beyonce to distract you from reading. bagus kan? he he he

i'm listening to a song called comfortably numb by hafizi. i don't really know him. we met once, coz he's a very good friend of my friend. so my friend sent me the song. it's quite good actually. very melancholic. his friend told me he wrote the song after he broke up with his girlfriend. sad hoorrr?? what's the name of the band again? metropolis 'something' or 'something' metropolis or no 'something' at all. hmm. don't care la.

i miss adi fairuzOlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2753038853135464703.post-84642198684834746602009-03-04T01:16:00.000-08:002009-05-21T00:57:39.592-07:00a little naivewent out with the two senioritas; sofia and stef. had crabstick in the car. so nice. i had five of em. stef was in her usual exam mood. worrying while being happy at the same time. he he he.

did you guys watched 'til death do us part' today? i didn't. i dont dare too. so depressing la. guy of my affection getting married. and he was so good looking in his wedding suit and his professionaly done hairdo, his eyes. haih!!

i've been reading this girl's blog. and it irks me to the core mannn. i know it's her personal blog and all but you don't have to be too personal right? more like self-pity only. one minute she'll tell the whole world that she's depressed because her boyfriend left her for another girl. then, she said she still love him. next she said it's okay, she's a strong girl. then, depressed again. then wanted to move on. then melancholy mode again. then new life la, what la. dungu gila!

i watched 'thirteen'. it's about this girl who be friended this hippest/wild girl in school. and they started doing stuff like, drugs, booze, sex, body piercings, wild parties. then kantoi, then the girl framed her. plots nye sungguh boleh di-predict. and her attitude adalah sungguh irritating.Olhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2753038853135464703.post-46315877447643862582009-02-25T10:56:00.000-08:002009-05-21T00:56:53.578-07:00Lenny's blog really wakes me up from the deep sleep I was in. I was trying so hard to be the person I am not. I lose my ground for a little while and now I am back in reality. But eventually, I am trying to pack myself up with as much skills as I can. I am thankful with what I can do now with dance compared to myself last year. but putting that aside, I am so far away from the other people. That's okay. He then proudly crafted his very own Cleopatra's needle which I swear to you was more then a foot long. The circumference at the base was at least 7" which tapered off as the poo ascended skywards with uncanny precision. Everyone saw this "creation" before the area was cordoned off.

The school caretakers refused to tackle the problem. A week later a sort of biohazard environmental team came to make the area safe again.

And did I mention the smell.........Unholy.Olhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2753038853135464703.post-36089413575168089282008-10-14T05:55:00.000-07:002008-10-27T05:56:01.527-07:00Big Fat Shit2 years ago in our office, we got a new programmer. To reeinforced stereotypes of programmers, as seen in The Simpsons when Homer gets disability allowance, this guy was huge. About 5'8", but with a body that would make Rik Waller look svelte. We worked on the second floor, so he came in everyday knackered from making it up the stairs (in which time, no one else could use them) and it took 2 hours for his breathing to return to normal.

Our toilet cubicles are 3ft x 6ft x 8ft. One of my colleagues was amazed one morning when he saw the guy struggling out of one of them. As they passed each other, he noticed a strong whiff, but put it down to being a fat bloke who's had to climb stairs. He then turned to look in the cubicle and promptly through up. The back wall, bowl and fittings were completely covered, up to a height of 4ft on the wall, in runny shite.

The toilet was closed for 2 days. The fat guy resigned the day after.Olhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2753038853135464703.post-63514579920233104662008-10-10T23:57:00.000-07:002008-10-27T05:54:59.774-07:00PoopantsAt the end of a messy evening I found myself crashed out around my friends house with a few other pissed twats - most notably, 2 girls.

After drunken banter we all started to fall asleep, until one of the group loudly farted. Naturally the whole room errupted with laughter, save one of the girls screaming "That's disgusting!", to which my friend leaped up, pushed his y-front covered arse next to her face and visibly strained. He got much more than he bargained for and what the poor girl saw was a small turd poking at his pants like a midgets erection.

I believe he is still single.Olhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2753038853135464703.post-39032567658360297992008-09-02T00:55:00.000-07:002009-05-21T00:56:22.346-07:00Summer fruit salsaWhen I was in cooking school the teachers taught us that "fat is flavour." While it is true that nothing can replace the heavenly rich mouth-feel of ice cream, creme brulee, buttercream icing, or savory gravies and demi sauces finished with butter, duck confit, seared foie gras, rillettes...I can just imagine my arteries hardening at the thought of all of that fat.

Fat in moderation is great, but you can't eat like that every day. With summer almost in full swing here in Vancouver, more fresh seasonal produce are available at the local farm markets now. This is a tasty fruit salsa I made as an accompaniment for seared cod fish. I added diced cantaloupe, tomatoes, and avocado with green onions, blueberries, and parsley with a little bit of olive oil and a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Who says low fat can't also equal good flavour?Olhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04827472866940977743noreply@blogger.com0
